Finite Element Study of Hyperstructure Systems with Modular Light-Frame Construction in High-Rise Buildings

چکیده

To answer both the growth of world’s urban population and climate changes, new structural systems with high prefabrication levels renewable materials need to be developed. A novel system that could enable use modular light-frame construction in high-rise buildings was modeled analyzed. This achieved by having a hyperstructure carrying loads four-story superposed substructures. Two 20-story hyperstructures, one using glulam another reinforced concrete, were designed according 2015 National Building Code Canada compared. simplified model for modules CSA O86-19 proposed. The interaction between impact on substructures results response spectrum analysis dynamic wind show that, hyperstructure, connected columns floors or only floors. With concrete must cores. For systems, design shearwalls short side is governed lateral deformation imposed seismic forces, while long vertical primary beams under gravity loads. Standard shearwall assemblies are sufficient resist shear induced gravitational, indicates viable, but more research should especially performed connections hyperstructure.

Torsion Analysis of High-Rise Buildings using Quadrilateral Panel Elements with Drilling D.O.F.s

Generally, the finite element method is a powerful procedure for analysis of tall buildings. Yet, it should be noted that there are some problems in the application of many finite elements to the analysis of tall building structures. The presence of artificial flexure and parasitic shear effects in many lower order plane stress and membrane elements, cause the numerical procedure to converge in...
